Rolling Through the Bay

From  Scott Weaver Rolling through the bay is an abstract toothpick sculpture of San Francisco. It has about 100,000 of toothpicks. The amazing part, is that is has four ping pong ball paths that roll through different landmarks of San Francisco. I have spent about 3000 hours on it over a period of 34 years and the only glue I use is Elmer’s. “

Takashi Murakami At Gagosian london – Preview

‘I think the japanese male sexual complex originated in the two-dimensional world
– animation, games and so on – which then transferred to small three-dimensional sculptures.
but before my sculptures miss ko (1997) and my lonesome cowboy (1998),
it had never been represented life-size.’

Robert Alvarado Photography

From juxtapozRobert Alvarado has a taste for something sweet, erotically inclined with a certain, tattooed, cotton candy contemporary edge. “I have always appreciated the female form and, growing up in the late 50′s early 60′s, I can recall looking at all the magazines with illustrations of women. I have basically turned those memories into the art form you see in my images today”. ”

Never Give Up, a print by Mr. Brainwash supporting Revok

http://revok1.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/20110621-094720.jpg From laweekly ” Two weeks ago, the L.A. street artist Revok ended his six-month prison sentence amid fans pushing for his release. Revok was one of the participating artists in the groundbreaking ‘Art in the Streets‘ MOCA exhibit — then was promptly jailed by the Los Angeles Police Department for failing to pay restitution to plaintiffs and victims of his graffiti in a long-standing suit dating back to 2010. Now he’s out, but still faces a mound of legal fees and an exorbitant bail, set at a cool third of a million. In the mean time, his friends have come together to lend him a hand, and help him get back on his feet. Thierry Guetta, a.k.a. Mr. Brainwash, the elusive and controversial subject of Banksy’s Exit through the Gift Shop, has created a limited-edition art print entitled Never Give Up, dedicated to Revok. Guetta tells LA Weekly that the proceeds from the sales of the work will function as a general supporting fund for Revok — “bail, apartment, whatever he needs.” “
